Applebees, Orange City

Ryan was gone for the weekend, so Mom and I decided to try something different, Applebees.  The place was packed, but what I noticed is that none of the employees there seemed very happy.  I felt like we were imposing on our waitress.  When our food arrived, there were dark brown spots all over her under-cooked broccoli, Mom’s baked potato looked like it was cooked several days ago and her steak tasted like it was cooked several days ago as well.

When we got dessert, Mom ordered a strawberry cheesecake in a glass.  It wasn’t until she got down to the bottom of it, it appeared to be old and yucky.

I felt bad for Mom!

What was sad is that we were sitting almost right across the street from Olive Garden and Texas Roadhouse.  I guess we won’t be “trying” something new for a while!
